The application of complex network theory for resilience improvement of knowledge-intensive supply chains

Abstract With frequent political conflicts and public health emergencies, global supply chains are constantly under risk interference, significantly reducing chain resilience (SCR), especially for the knowledge-intensive (KISCs). To assess improve of KISC, this paper uses complex network theory to construct a directed weighted model suitable KISC expresses SCR as comprehensive capability that can resist recover from it. Using quantitative indicators plus qualitative assessment quantify index identify key nodes. Two improvement paths proposed KISCs, improving firms’ development capacity industrial backup. In case study, integrated circuit (IC) is assessed improved according real data IC industry. The findings show (i) based on aligns with reality. (ii) Improving backup SCR. (iii) Effective requires targeting nodes in (SCN). Moreover, degree intensity should be within specific range.
